Good morning, Thank you for your question. I can confirm this item is is manufactured in one of our carefully sourced manufacturers in China at present. Our Stoke-on-Trent factory produces the finest English earthenware. We source other products which we are not able to produce in our own factory such as ceramic bodies like porcelain and glassware, cutlery and textiles from all over the world but always to our stringent quality standards and through carefully selected and scrutinised suppliers. As our product range is increasingly varied and sales continue to grow we simply do not have the capacity to make all our products in our Stoke-on-Trent factory nor do we have the capability to produce products other than earthenware which is why we use sourced suppliers as outlined above. However, demand for English made product continues to grow and we have over the last year installed a new kiln in order to increase our earthenware production capability, the result of which will mean more English made product coming from our factory and more jobs created in and around Stoke-on-Trent. I hope that you can be assured that despite some products being from a sourced supplier outside of the UK, the products are of the quality that Portmeirion is known for.
