Introducing Spode Steccato
Here to inject modernity into every dining occasion, our new collection, Steccato, elevates style through beautifully bold design. Read on to discover the inspiration behind the new tableware collection, its link to our illustrious past and how it’s the perfect tableware collection for you to embrace the key interior trends for 2024.
Statement stripes from Spode
Fearlessly embracing classic design, statement stripes mesmerise across the collection blending great British craftsmanship with timeless style. The stripes decorate the tableware in Spode’s iconic cobalt blue colourway, paying homage to its rich heritage of ceramic mastery and innovation.
Always on trend, stripes are a failsafe, timeless design. For this new collection we’ve varied the weight and line thickness of the stripes across the pieces to add character and intrigue to each place setting when layered together. Steccato is a collection that allows you to express your own unique style and mix and match as you wish.
Made in England
Made in Spode’s factory in Stoke-on-Trent, the Steccato collection includes everything you need to set a striking table full of personality, such as dinner plates, side plates, salad plates, and bowls. There are also must-have mugs, teacups, and espresso cups and saucers to match the statement teapot, coordinating sugar bowl, and milk jug so you can enjoy afternoon tea or tea for two in style.
Complementing the ceramic pieces are placemats and coasters to add the perfect finishing touch to your Steccato setting. Matching cobalt blue stripes adorn the coasters and the medium placemats, allowing for an extra layer to your tablescape.
Tapping into design trends, Steccato can be effortlessly styled on its own or paired with complementary or contrasting patterns. Both the colour blue and stripes are set to resonate throughout interiors this year according to trend experts, such as WGSN, making Steccato the perfect collection for you to embrace.
Steccato pairs seamlessly with our iconic Blue Italian range. The sophisticated pairing allows you to recreate the popular Modern Heritage trend, which looks to combine traditional design with more contemporary prints and patterns. Think intricate floral patterns, traditional wall panelling and heritage paint colours combined with more modern bold prints. We love this trend as it’s sustainable interior design at its best, styling recycled vintage and antique finds with modern and bold pieces.
The use of our signature cobalt blue colourway across Steccato is one of the many reasons it styles so well with Blue Italian and Brocato collections, adding depth and visual intrigue to any dining setup. Blue Italian has been at the heart of our homes for over 200 years, and the addition of Steccato will allow you to elevate your blue and white collection with even greater style and vigour.
