Claridge pattern was first recorded in 1938 with pattern number Y4741.
The pattern is an elegant combination of cobalt blue and gold. The central
spray of fruit is printed in gold and is taken from early Spode bat prints
recorded in the early 1800s.
The pattern was on Regimental shape and was available on dinner, tea
and coffee wares. Some examples have Mermod Jaccard King on the pieces
as well as the Spode backstamp. These were retailers of Spode ware in
America.
The pattern was withdrawn in 1973.
