Pattern no.: various
Introduced: c1806

This pattern has several names: Bamboo or Bamboo & Rock pattern and a later name of Weeping Willow. At the factory the many different coloured versions of the pattern would have had their own unique pattern number and the design may never have had a name when it was first produced.

It was first produced in about 1806 and is thought to be based on a design from Chinese porcelain of the 18th century.

One version in red is believed to have been used on service supplied to HRH the Prince of Wales who in 1806 had appointed Josiah Spode II 'Potter and English Porcelain Manufacturer to His Royal Highness'.
