In the late 1930s a range of dessert ware was introduced with various embossed designs on the border. Wicker Embossed dessert ware was one of these shapes introduced in 1937. The 9 inch dessert plate had shape number K523. Most patterns were on earthenware.

The patterns produced on this shape were all decorated underglaze. Amongst these earthenware patterns were:

Cherry Picker pattern number S1973 introduced in 1937

Kibblestone Plants pattern number S1984 introduced in 1937

Fortnum & Mason Centres pattern number S1992 introduced in 1937. (The subjects were Pansy, Primula, Begonia, Camellia, Tulip, Aster, Single Dahlia, Dahlia, Anemone, Geranium, Ranunculus, Mallow.)

Orchid Centres pattern number S2009 introduced in 1938

Tobacco Plants Centre pattern number S2367 introduced in 1939 with 12 varied centres printed in brown and then hand coloured

A china version of Wicker Embossed ware was produced and designs on this included two versions of Tolworth with pattern number Y5736 with a green border and pattern number Y7535 with a crimson border, both first recorded in 1938.
