Introduced: c1941 Tournai Shape was introduced in 1941 as a range of dinner and tea ware, although a bouillon cup and saucer is recorded in this shape in about 1932. The shape was introduced during World War II to obtain trade with North America. The design was based on a shape produced at the Tournai porcelain manufactory in Belgium operating from 1751 - 1800. Patterns on this shape are illustrated in the 1961 catalogue but less and less patterns appear in the catalogues until none at all in the 1966 catalogue.
