Introduced: 1965 Discontinued: c1985

Pauline Shone figures were first produced by Spode in 1965 with a series called The Young Elizabethans. In the 1965 catalogue they are described as 'Sculptures by Pauline Shone'. Subsequent catalogues described them as 'Figures'. Several different series were produced until the last series in 1980. The figures continued to appear for sale in the catalogues until about 1985. With the opening of the new Museum and Visitor Centre at Spode in 1996 two figures have been produced for sale in the Museum Shop. These are Elizabeth and Edward. Details of the series are listed below.

The figures are made from bone china and usually undecorated. Some series were delicately gilded.

Two other figures appear on one of the leaflets in the archive Amanda and Laura and these probably date to the 1970s/1980s.
