Registered no.: 26070 Introduced: 1885 Discontinued: probably early 1960s Centurion was registered as design number 26070 at the British Patent Office in 1885 and was initially named Walpole. The shape was an earthenware design with an embossment at the edge which is often called 'egg and tongue'. It later had another registered number 762857 issued on 21st March 1931 when it was registered under the Centurion name. Some of the most popular patterns produced on this shape were Firenze, and Delhi, Ermine. The shape is no longer in production.
