| Camellias pattern was introduced in about 1939 and was produced in many versions. The pattern featured various species of camellias in the centre of the design following Spode's long tradition of designs featuring botanical species. The centres were printed in grey and then usually handpainted either by the apprentice boy painters or by Madeleine Coxon.
Pattern number Y6480 (1941) was one of the versions produced with a groundlaid rim this time in Leather Green . Other versions had no coloured rim. Double camellias featured in some patterns notably pattern number s Y6060 (1939) o n Regimental shape and Y6775 (1942) on Hamburg shape. Single camellias were used in other variations notably pattern number Y6059 (1939) on Regimental shape.
Although many versions were produced of this design it seems to have been discontinued by the late 1950s.
