Worked at Copelands c1886 - 1890

A Derby man, painter of flowers and floral studies. Painted Copeland exhibits for the 1889 Paris Exhibition. His work is seen on the best shapes of the period covered by pattern number in the range1/5000 to 1/6000.

Married Elizabeth Tams, a paintress at Copelands and returned to Derby c1890 to work at the Derby Works. He advised his sister in law Ann Tams, herself an apprentice paintress at Copelands who moved to Derby, "there are always Italian Skies at Derby unlike smoky Stoke!"
