Worked at Copelands:1880s to early 1900s It is thought that Harry Lea was trained at Copelands and spent most of his working life on the factory. All that is proven, however, from signed works and record book references, is that he was employed as an artist for Copelands from the 1880s until the early 1900s. He specialised in Hawking subjects, Landscapes and Flower subjects but is best known for his Marine views and Fish subjects. He was reported to have been a quiet, gentlemanly character who kept himself to himself. He is known to have lived in Stoke.
